No Borders Workshop Programme and Exhibition, Carlisle

No Borders is a series of free workshops, at Carlisle Library, running alongside the Outside In exhibition at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery.

The programme aims to provide creative opportunities for a variety of different groups including people with learning disabilities, dementia and Alzheimer’s, mental health issues, disabled people and those recovering from drug and alcohol misuse. For more information please click here.

An Exhibition of the work produced thorough out the programme will be displayed at Carlisle until 30th August.

Carlisle Pageant 2013

An exciting day of events that include lots of family friendly fun, with face painting and street entertainers.  A community puppet parade will be the exciting centre-piece. Giant puppets depicting key historic characters will parade from the Old Fire Station on Warwick Street at 11.00am making its way to the city centre and the Old Town Hall via Scotch Street.

Family Arts Event

A fun and exciting day of arts activities including, shadow puppets, music and performance. The event will take place at CREA Rural Enterprise Centre, Penrith on Tuesday 20th August, 10.00am to 3.30pm.  This event is suitable for disabled children or children with special needs and their families.  To book contact Diane Astill on telephone number 016973 23309

Kendal Mintfest 2013

Kendal’s Annual International Festival of Street Arts returns to the streets on Fri 30 Aug – Sun 1 Sep 2013.  Studio Theatre Carlisle will be performing at 1.15pm and again at  3.00pm in Kendal Town Centre on Saturday 31st August.
