We participated in Eden Art’s – C-Art Open Studios. We ran an exhibition between the 10th – 25th September at the Cumbria Business Interaction Centre (CBIC).
Our C-Art exhibition included work from participants of Prism Arts’ programmes, including Studio Theatre, Studio Arts and Creative Arts and Conversations, emerging diverse artists, students from the University of Cumbria and Prism Arts Artists and Volunteers.
Two students from The University of Cumbria were given a £500 bursary from Prism Arts to create work with a learning disabled participant. Katie Lock and Maddy Mould are graduating students, working in screen printing and paper cut illustrations. They worked together with Amber Bloxam, a participant of Studio Arts to create work which was displayed in Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Gardens. The work is currently being displayed by The University of Cumbria in the 3 story staircase in the Carlisle Business Interation Centre where it will stay until 2019.

As part of C-Art we also ran an Artist Conversation with our Lead Artist Ali McCaw. It ran on Saturday 27th and was an informal discussion about art, artwork and participation. It was a great networking opportunity for those wishing to be more involved in participatory or diverse art.
