Job title:

Professional Background:

I have thirty years’ experience in further and higher education, having taught and run a range of programmes including BSc Social Enterprise Leadership, MBA in Leadership and Sustainability and Undergraduate Business & Management Studies.

My most recent employment was with the University of Cumbria as course leader for the Aspiring Leaders’ Programme – a degree aimed at young adults involved in the Third Sector.

I have a degree in Economics, PGCE, MA in International Studies, MA in Creative Writing and a PhD in Creative Writing.
As part of my academic research, I have attended numerous conferences and published research papers

Outside of work:

My passion is Creative Writing and I now deliver writing class through Lakeland Writers.

When not writing, I spent time on the Cumbrian fells or make some noise with Drum Nation, a Kendal based community samba-reggae drumming band.

I also frequent the Brewery Arts Centre to watch films or catch some live music.
